At the Empress Elizabeth Museum
- Formerly Collection Heinemann -
We appreciate your interest in the Empress Elizabeth Museum. It is the only one of its kind in Germany. The young Empress used to spend her summer holidays in Possenhofen with her parents, brothers and sisters.
She and members of her family as well as Kings, the Emperor and the nobility spent some time in the magnificent stateroom, now used by the museum. At that time this room served as an arrival and departure hall of the station.
You will be impressed by the valuable exhibits. Individual guided tours, approx. 1 hour, are offered. Even children will be delighted to learn more about Empress Elizabeth and Queen of Hungary, known as "Sisi".
